Hi, welcome to my online collection of photo's.
My name is Darren Hedges, and I live in the Dearne Valley, South Yorkshire.
Currently I am using a Canon EOS300D digital SLR.
All of the images seen in this gallery can be purchased as prints or as a wide range of gifts, just click on the button below each image or use the link on each collection page.

A few photo's taken on the Abbey Light Railway, which is located at Kirkstall Abbey in Leeds.
This line is privately owned and operates a passenger service from it's Bridge Lane depot to Kirkstall Abbey on sundays and bank holidays.
The line uses a mixed collection of ex-industrial narrow gauge equipment from the UK and overseas, mainly diesel and one leeds built Greenbat battery electric unit as well.

A few photo's taken during 2 short visits to The Welsh Highland Railway, which currently runs between Caernarfon and Rhyd Ddu, North Wales, on the 6th & 9th April 2007. This narrow gauge line is slowly being rebuilt through the Snowdonia National Park towards Beddgelert and Portmadoc, and is currently running trains on the section between Caernarfon and Rhyd Ddu using ex South African Railways Beyer-Garratt NGG16 (2-6-2 + 2-6-2) locomotives.
